density/ˈdensəti/ noun (pl. densities)•  the quantity of people or things in a given area or space

I´ve taken the liberty to borrow the Oxford English Dictionary´s second definition of density to help understand an important aspect of Cantabria, Northern Spain. 

The quantity of people in our given area is easy to define, we are about 600,000 in an area the size of the US state of Delaware, that´s just under 300 people per square mile.

The quantity of things in our given area is harder to define.  It seems to me that the there are a ton of things to see and do in a fairly small area.  Therefore, I would say it is a pretty dense place.  I won´t go into all the details because that is what this blog hopes to do over time.  Just a simple realization and a jumping off point.  Every picture tells a story and is worth a thousand words.
